On occasion I will do some commercial work to mix things up. A while back I photographed a clothing line for SunRae kids based out of Portland OR. One of the outfits was for my son Isaac. It was a little big on him so I put off photographing him in it. This morning while going though my sons cloths I found them again. In the same drawer I found his superman cape. It did not take me long to have a vision of what I wanted to do. It also did not take much convincing to get my 3 year old outside to run around for me. The weather this morning was also perfect with it's overcast skies.

Lisa Campbell Photography is looking for 3 babies to model a new clothing line. I am in need of babies sized 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-12 months. Only 1 outfit will be used for photo shoot. You will receive a $25 print credit and a free piece of clothing. Additional prints may be purchased. There is no cost to receive print credit and clothing. You must be willing to sign a model release/contract and realize that these photos will be put on multiple websites and in print. Your child's name may also be used for publication on-line or in print. Do to the nature of these photos no digital files will be sold or given away.

Location of photo shoot will take place in or near Ocean Springs and must be done on a weekday.

SunRae Kids is a labor of love by artist Alison Rae Campbell and her friend and business partner Sonia Halvorson. For years, appreciators of Alison's artwork have been asking if she considered doing a children's clothing line. When Alison moved to Portland Oregon, where her long-time friend Sonia was waiting, the time had come. The pair partnered to bring this line of happy monsters into fruition.

Everything at SunRae Kids is 100% organic, hand dyed, and hand printed by the artist with water-based inks.

Looking for a bright sunny home or a big back yard with good shade. You bring your friends with kids and I will bring a new lens I want to try out.

There is no cost to you or your guests. You only buy photos if you like what you see. The host will receive free photos based on the amount of sales.

The host should provide food or ask guess to bring some as a potluck.

Photos will be of children only at any age. Must have a minimum of 5 children from different families and no more than 10.

My goal is to get at least 5 photos of each child as well as some random photos of the kids playing together. This will be a great opportunity to get best friends together!

Hey all! Here are the happenings with Lisa Campbell Photography

Mini sessions- I am doing a special again with mini sessions. Your entire sitting fee will count as print credit! Please see my website for info on minies as well as the Main session. Only 2 locations will be available. Also since this time of year is so busy all sessions will now be put on a waiting list. And because of new things happening on a personal level I can not schedule any sessions farther than 2 weeks out in advanced. All available dates and times will be posted when available and will be on a first pay first serviced basis.

Art- I am now doing a bit of art with photos. Please see my and take a look. I will pick a few of my favorites from every session to play with. If you are interested in some artwork for a specific photo please let me know. Also if any past clients would like to reorder some photos with some art please let me know.

Blogging- Many of you know that I have mainly about my kids. I have decided to make things easier and will be combining both blogs. Soon this blog will also be showing more of my personal side with stories and photos of my children.

I know it has been a while since I have posted any photos. I will try to catch up soon! But for now I have a few announcements.

I had so much fun with the photo contest that I want to do another. But first I want you to help me reach 1000 fans. I only need 21 more fans to reach my goal! All you have to do is point your friends to my Facebook page.

I have been dying to do a photo session at Fort Maurepas Park on Front beach. Not only is it right on the beach but there are a ton of paces around the area for fun photos.

If you book a sunset photo session from now until the end of the month you will pay no sitting fee. That means that you only buy photos if you like them. Sessions will last about 1 hour. You will receive 20-30 photos to view in and on-line gallery. Each photo will be processed in color and black & white.
As a special bonus-If you buy the digital files within 5 days of viewing your photos you will receive $100 off.

The rules:
Sessions must take place before the last day of March.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get the new website up and running. The hard part for me is picking the photos I want to use. Give me just a bit more time.

I will be adding mini sessions soon. These sessions last from 15-30 minutes and will be much cheaper than a regular session. Soon I will have a schedule of days, times and locations that will be available for these sessions.

I am also working on a few other new things around here. A new updated price list will be available soon. The prices are not really that different, But the format and more information will be added. Also event, wedding, mini, birth and new baby in the hospital info will be on this new price list.

I need senior reps! Seniors is not a market I have done in the past. I was waiting until my oldest was in this age range. And guess what! He will be 18 in just a few months. I feel so old! So if you are or know a Junior or Senior in High School that would like to be a rep for me please let me know.

I sure have been photographing a lot of boys lately! I guess having 3 boys of my own makes it a bit easier. One of the boys is the same age as my youngest, so I totally understood that he wanted nothing to do with sitting still. Mom and dad were supper cool and very relaxed which makes my job so much easier.

The natural light photographer was not so natural this night with my non stop flash.

A few weeks ago I photographed a reception at the Ocean Springs yacht Club. What a great place this is to have a small reception! The bride was great to photograph and I look forward to photographing her again for after wedding photos or "trash your dress" once it warms up a bit.

With a final edit of about 500 photos, I had a hard time choosing what photos to post. Since we all know how much I love to photograph kids I decided that was what must be posted. I also threw in a few detail shots.

Animal shelter needs your help!

I was introduced to the Animal Protection and Education Association by Alyssa of
Gulf Coast Belly dance. When she asked me to come along to photograph the animals while she donated food and money I thought all I would see were dogs at cats. But when I arrived I was amazed and excited at the variety of animals I saw.

I had a hard time picking what photos to show. So here is a link to all of them. Shelter photos

APEA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on donations and fundraisers to operate. They are currently in operation in both Alabama and Mississippi. Their mission is to promote the humane treatment of all animals, eliminate pet overpopulation, provide public education regarding animal care and welfare, protect the animals placed in our care, and to seek responsible homes for the animals that can be adopted.
They are in desperate need of donations of either money or food. The biggest need they have right now is volunteers during the week to help feed and walk the animals.

I had a wonderful session with a 2 week old. I have not photographed one so young since I lived in Alaska. Two weeks or younger is in fact the best time to photograph infants to get the best photos.

This little doll slept for me most of the time and when she was awake she was so very precious.

Don't be afraid of the rain

Not being from here I have really loved all the rain we have gotten. Every time it rains my kids ask me if they can go play in the puddles. I indulge them almost every time.

The kids are out of school and the weather is perfect! Now is a great time to get some quick photos. Mini shoots will take place at the Childrens Park in downtown Ocean Springs.

Details for the mini shoots:

Sitting fee-$35 (normally $75) up to 4 people. $5 for each extra person.
Sitting fee must be paid 7 days in advanced to hold spot.
20-30 minutes of shooting. (normally 1-2 hours)
10-15 photos to choose from. (normally 20-30+ photos)

I guess I need to prove I don't just photograph kids :-) I spent a fun 3 hours with Miss "T". I have way to many favorites to post them all here. I have many more to edit still.

It was wonderful to shoot someone who was very comfortable in front of the camera. And with a Trash Your Dress session we did not have to worry about what happened to the dress. It did get quite dirty when we were done.

The Chaos of Miss S's house

I had a great time photographing many kids at the Children's Park in Ocean Springs. This "Mini Shoot" was a first for me. It was so successful that I will consider doing again in the future. And thanks to Miss S for helping me keep things organize and the kids laughing!

First photo is pure Chaos! The rest is a sample of my favorites from each family. And the last is a photo of Miss S's full time child care kids. All photos shown in black and white....well because I love black and white :-)

Each additional person/pet is $10

2008 sure has been a crazy roller coaster for me. Here is a list of the low down of my year.

Moved from Anchorage Alaska to Ocean Springs Mississippi.
Gave birth to my 4th child, thinking I could not have children again after a tubal ligation.
Started my photography business all over again.
Found a wonderful new church.
Made some wonderful new friends.
Sadly ending my marriage.
Starting over in 2009 as a single mom.

2009 will be a struggle but also a chance to start my life over again. With Gods help I know it will be a great year.

There will be many changes with Lisa Campbell Photography in 2009.

I will also be available for small outdoor weddings, engagement sessions and after wedding sessions.

I will also no longer have a home office due to an upcoming move. But I have a great place to hold meetings that I am very excited about. I will tell all soon.

Sorry I have not updated for a while. I have been pretty sick.

Now that I am starting to recover I have been busy working.

The following photo was one of the last ones to be taken at this photo shoot. I knew it would not be in focus when I clicked the shutter. But who cares! This photo shows the personality of the family perfectly! I was very happy when they chose this one to use as there Christmas photo.

I have been loving the beach and this weather so much that I want to give away some sitting fees. The first 5 people that book a date with me for the month of October will receive a free sitting fee.

Rules:
Photos must be taken on the beach in Ocean Springs, MS
Photos must be taken in October of 2008
Sessions are to be done Monday-Friday. Sorry no weekends
Sessions are to start in the morning before 11am
But most of all!
Your kids must have fun! No worrying about what they wear because they might get dirty or wet.
Parents must have fun! I want to see you playing and having fun with your kids :-)
